HI my name is Shula Melamed MA MPH, I am a relationship and well-being coach and I have been working with individuals, couples and groups for the last 12 years. In addition to this I am also incidentally a wedding officiant. Before I went to grad school for psychology and sexuality and health and opened up my own Relationship coaching practice I worked for a matchmaker. I often joke that I have somehow been placed here to assist with the meeting, the marrying and the maintaining of relationships. In my years of experience and through working with couples I have found that there are a few key conversations that sometimes get taken for granted when the business of life is in high gear.
These areas are ones in which some understanding forged can create stronger, healthier and more resilient relationships. Now these are likely areas you have discussed in the past and perhaps a few that you haven’t approached in any organized way because maybe you haven’t known how to or had the time or figured you would get around to it at some time. Or perhaps you really haven’t been sure about the kind of questions you should be asking yourself or one and other. Whatever the case, preparing to get married is an amazing and significant marker in the life of a couple and a wonderful opportunity to check in with one and other on what has been going well, what needs tweaking, what your hopes are and what are some things you worry about but also worry about bringing forward.
I really encourage folks to approach this work from a place of curiosity - you are a team and every team benefits from a collaboration and a game plan. This course will help organize those conversations, offer you tools to facilitate them and resources that you can use for a lifetime any time you feel you are needing to check in with each other. The purpose of premarital coaching is: To acknowledge the strengths you have as a couple and come up with strategies to ensure you keep building on these as your relationship deepens.
Get curious about some of the areas where you have room for growth as a couple. Work on and gain communication skills that can sometimes feel out of reach when you are in conflict. Give you time to create a vision for your relationship that you can get excited about in the midst of wedding planning. Are you ready? Let’s go!
Every Bandit course includes a mix of content, resources and interactive quizzes designed to help through a relationship milestone.

In this 7 module course, each module will cover a different topic related to being in a committed relationship. Each section will include a mixture of video content, quizzes, worksheets, and downloadable homework that will help you and your partner get on the same page to ensure you're prepared for taking the next big step: marriage!
If you're engaged, considering engagement, or considering a long-term domestic partnership with a partner - then you're ready for this course! In fact, the earlier you start having these serious conversations and start tackling these sometimes taboo topics the less likely you'll run into issues later.
This course is designed for any couples taking a serious step into commitment together. It's a non-gendered, non-religious and inclusive approach to pre-marital counseling.
You can go as fast or slow as you like! But it's recommended you set aside a time together each week to complete the modules, together. So, for most couples, it takes about 6-7 weeks to complete.
